PGMa creates Melo Commission: A Commission to Conduct an Independent Probe of the Killings of Media Practitioners and Militant Activists.  The Commission is headed by ex Justice Jose Melo with NBI Director Nestor Mantaring, Chief Prosecutor Jovencito Zuno, Bishop Camilo Gregorio of Batanes (later replaced by Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos of Butun), Nelia Teodoro Gonzales, a UP Board of Regent and Attorney Rogelio Vinluan.
